Biography

" I am originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I practiced law for 10 years. Ohio, ¿the heart of it all,¿ has been my home state for the past 15 years. Nursing is my second career, which I have built on my law and ethics background foundation. I hold a Bachelor in Law from Brazil and a Master in Law from Cleveland State University. I received my basic nursing education at Case Western Reserve University through an intensive graduate program. I obtained a Master in Science of Nursing and a PhD in Higher Education Administration from University of Phoenix. I hold a certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing, and Legal Nurse Consultant. I am a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International. "

Research Intrest

Research focus: schizophrenia, global interdependence identity, globalization, cultural identities integration, transnational spaces of education and professional practice, and forensic nursing
