Research Intrest

Jordan Suter research primarily addresses issues related to land use policy, water resource economics, and the analysis of pollution control regulations. Much of this research applies the methods of experimental economics to analyze how individuals and groups respond to the incentives generated by regulatory policies and resource characteristics. Current research projects that I am working on analyze the performance of water quality trading markets, the effect of hydrogeologic features on influencing groundwater use, as well as the efficiency of ambient and dynamic pollution tax policies, which could be implemented in cases where it is difficult to identify specific polluters.
