Biography

Education: Studies of human medicine in Innsbruck, 1992 - 1996 training as a doctor for General Medicine at the District Hospital Hall, 1997 - 2002 Education as Specialist for Anesthesia and Intensive Care at the University Clinic for Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Medical University Innsbruck. Clinical activity: Senior therapist of anesthesia in the field of cardiac and heart disease Vascular surgery as well as in the field of radiology incl cardiac catheter laboratory of the pediatric cardiology. International diplomas: D.E.A.A. (European Diploma for Anesthesia) Certification test for perioperative transesophageal echocardiography (PTEeXAM, National Board of Echocardiography, USA). Organization of courses / workshops: Since 2008 course management / organization of the Innsbruckers Courses for perioperative transesophageal echocardiography with the aim of a practical training at local and national level (www.perioptee-innsbruck.at).

Perioperative coagulation (Habilitation topic: Experimental and Clinical studies on the interaction of platelets and fibrinogen within the framework of the Clot formation and their detection by means of point-of-care monitoring)
