Professor Craig Johnston pursued his PhD in Economics from University of Victoria, 2015and MS from Economics, University of Victoria, 2011.He further studied BA in Applied Economics from Queen's University in 2008.At present he is working as a Affiliate faculty in Agricultural and Applied Economics, University of Wisconsin-Madison.He is an environmental economist with interests in the relationship between economic markets, climate change and forest resource use.His research current falls within three broad categories: optimal resource management for economic and ecological benefits, the international trade of forest products, and issues related to forest carbon offsets and bioenergy. To investigate these issues, he examined theoretical foundations and different techniques for modeling and numerically solving constrained optimization models.
