Caroline has been at the Institute for Health and Human Development (IHHD) since 2014 where she is currently working on a number of projects including the evaluation of several social prescribing initiatives. Previous to this she spent several years in the Psychology Department at UEL (at the former Institute for Research in Child Development) working with infants, mothers and adolescents on research ranging from the effects of recreational drug use in pregnancy; to the evaluation of an innovative community development approach to health and wellbeing on the Well London Adolescent Survey. She has an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy and has worked as a counsellor in a primary school and with a South London based charity for women experiencing post-natal depression. Caroline is a steering group member of the National Social Prescribing Network (NSPN) and her research interests include the evaluation of alternative treatment pathways for improving mental wellbeing and the promotion of mental health recovery. In a previous life, she spent almost a decade working as a freelancer in the television industry.
