The most common diseases caused by pollution include ischemic heart condition , stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), carcinoma and acute lower respiratory infections in children. Breathing polluted air puts you at a better risk for asthma and other respiratory diseases. High levels of particle pollution are related to higher incidents of heart problems. The burning of fossil fuels and therefore the release of CO2 within the atmosphere are causing the world to become warmer. The groups most suffering from pollution are people of color, elderly residents, children with uncontrolled asthma, and other people living in poverty. Vulnerable populations may experience more health effects because these populations have already got higher rates of heart and lung conditions.
